Refund and Cancellation Policy

At Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with our high-quality industrial products, including our Boilers & Heaters. Due to the nature, scale, and often custom-built requirements of our equipment, our refund and cancellation policy is as follows:


1. Applicability

This policy applies to all products and services purchased directly from Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd through our sales process, including products ordered after receiving a quotation.

Note: This policy does not override or supersede the specific terms and conditions outlined in the final Sales Agreement or Purchase Order executed between Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd and the Buyer.


2. Order Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled under specific conditions depending on the stage of fulfillment:

A. Cancellation Before Production/Manufacturing Commences

  • If an order for a standard or custom boiler is cancelled within 7 days of placing the confirmed order and before any manufacturing or specialized material procurement has begun, the Buyer may be eligible for a full refund of the initial advance payment, minus a 50 % processing fee to cover administrative costs and initial design work.

B. Cancellation After Production/Manufacturing Commenced

  • If cancellation is requested after manufacturing has commenced or specialized components have been ordered for the specific project, the order is generally non-cancellable.
  • In rare circumstances where cancellation is permitted, the Buyer will be liable for all costs incurred by Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd up to the date of cancellation, including material costs, labor costs, design costs, and a penalty fee. The refundable amount (if any) will be determined solely by Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd after calculating all incurred expenses.

3. Return and Refund Policy (Non-Defective Products)

Given the specialized, heavy, and often custom nature of industrial boilers, we typically do not accept returns or offer refunds for non-defective, correctly supplied products due to a “change of mind” or a change in the Buyer’s project requirements.

  • Custom/Made-to-Order Equipment: Products that are custom-engineered, manufactured, or modified to meet specific Buyer requirements (which includes most IBR-certified boilers) are NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. All sales are final once the Purchase Order is confirmed.

4. Defective or Incorrect Products (Warranty Claims)

If a product is delivered and is found to be defective or not in compliance with the agreed-upon specifications:

Incorrect Shipment

  • If the wrong model or equipment that significantly deviates from the confirmed specifications is delivered, the Buyer must notify Balkrishna Boilers Pvt Ltd within 5 days of delivery. We will arrange for the correct product to be shipped or provide an appropriate resolution.

5. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved under Section 2 (Cancellation before production):

  • Inspection and Approval: The request for cancellation will be subject to internal review and confirmation by our production and finance departments.
  • Refund Method: Refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment used for the purchase (e.g., bank transfer, cheque).
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 5 business days from the date the cancellation is formally approved. The time taken for the funds to reflect in the Buyer’s account may vary depending on the banking institution.
